Richmond, VA

Richmond, Virginia was our second capital city of the tour (out of 5 total capitals we'd eventually see). We arrived here on Thanksgiving Day. Our hotel was super modern and trendy and made for college students. It was a bit much; but nice.

That evening, we had a Thanksgiving dinner at a local restaurant. On the walk there I saw lots of nice buildings/homes. It's exactly what you think Virginia would look like.

Thought you'd like this red door, Aunt Waneta.
The front desk at our hotel.
While standing in the lobby, we noticed our Rudolph, Shelby, on the television giving a live interview!

And they started to show clips from the show, and look at that! It's ME. The only publicity photos or videos they've got for this show are from the first year, 2014, when I was the only Santa.
Walking around in the city--

This says, "When Noah sailed the ocean blue, he had his troubles the same as you. For 40 days he sailed his ark before he found a place to park."

It was also in Richmond, while touring the capitol, that I rolled my left ankle. It wasn't awful, but it was definitely painful. I should mention, I rolled my ankle right BEFORE we went to tour the capitol, so I wandered the entire capitol grounds limping. But it was a gorgeous capitol, and was designed by Thomas Jefferson himself.

Next up is Hamlet, North Carolina (NOT something to be excited about).
