New Philadelphia, OH

KENT STATE UNIVERSITY @ TUSCARAWAS, New Philadelphia, OH - November 26, 2019

You ever driven through most of New Jersey and all of Pennsylvania in one day?

I've done it twice on this tour. Both times I was able to plan our travel and stops, which can be a good deal of pressure when there are 35 people to plan for. But I enjoyed it. We drove through the northern portion of Pennsylvania, and we stop every 2-3 hours for about 15 minutes, just to stretch our legs and use the restrooms. Then we stop somewhere for lunch. It's not unusual, especially in other years on long travel days, for us to stop at a truck stop somewhere where the only options are Burger King and KFC. I was happy to work hard to find more exciting food options -- specifically for those folks who have dietary needs that cannot be fulfilled by a truck stop.

I don't remember much from that day--it was our first really long travel day. I tried to sleep a little bit, I read on my Kindle, and I watched a movie on my laptop.

We got to New Philadelphia without any problems, and we all got to rest in a hotel. We didn't have a show until the next day.

Nothing specific to mention; we performed at a college theater, so it was nice and modern and spacious, the latter being the most important after our previous performances.

Next, we travel back through the entire state of Pennsylvania to get to New Haven, Connecticut.
